Snappy Teak-Nu Vs. Teak Magic

Snappy Teak-Nu Vs. Teak Magic

You want the best when it comes to your boat. When searching for solutions to keep your boat’s teak clean and beautiful, you want to pick a product that saves you time, is easy to work with, is cost-effective, and is safe for the environment.   Look no further! Teak Magic has you covered.

Snappy Teak has long been a popular choice for boaters, but new technology and teak-cleaning products have changed the game. Let's compare Snappy Teak with Teak Magic to see how they perform head-to-head:

Safety First

When using Snappy, it’s suggested to wear rubber gloves, goggles, and protective shoewear to shield your skin from harsh chemical ingredients like hydrochloric acid. DiTEC’s Teak Magic uses organic materials, making it safer and easier to handle when cleaning your boat’s teak. We still recommend wearing gloves in case your skin is sensitive to any of the ingredients used in Teak Magic.

Not only should you protect your skin when using Snappy Teak, but you should also protect any finished surfaces like stainless steel. Snappy Formula No. 1 could cause scars or burn marks to sensitive surroundings that can be costly to repair. On the other hand, Teak Magic will not damage your boat’s stainless steel and won’t leave any residue on your paint and gelcoat when rinsed off.

Clean Boat, Clean Conscience

Teak Magic is also readily biodegradable, safe to rinse into waterways, and won’t cause harm to the environment, which means you can keep your boat in the water while you clean. It is MARPOL Annex III and Annex V compliant, phosphate-free, and bleach-free.

Our recent video compares the disposal of both Snappy and Teak Magic into the waterway. You can be sure that rinsing Teak Magic into the water won’t hurt the water’s chemistry or ecosystem.

More Bang for Your Buck

Teak Magic uses a 1:4 product-to-water ratio, which can cover approximately 400-700 sq ft./gallon, depending on how dirty your teak is. Snappy uses a 1:1 product-to-water ratio, which covers around 200 sq ft./gallon.

When using Snappy Teak, it's suggested to sand your boat deck every season. Because only non-hazardous chemicals are used in Teak Magic, you can get through multiple seasons of cleaning before your deck may need to be sanded. This alone saves crews and their owners tons of time, effort, and money.

Who’s the Winner?

Although Snappy Teak has long been an industry standard in teak cleaning, DiTEC’s new technology with Teak Magic is changing the game for boaters. Teak Magic beats Snappy across the board with its easy-to-use, non-hazardous, non-corrosive, environmentally friendly formula. Save yourself some time and money, and treat your teak to some TLC with DiTEC’s Teak Magic
